“I didn't take a straight path to portrait photography — and I think that's exactly why I'm good at it.”
I grew up drawn to the small, quiet moments most people miss — the way light falls through a window, the laughter nobody's performing for. Photography became how I hold onto them. I picked up a camera a decade ago and haven't looked back.
After years documenting weddings and events across Alberta, I built Babz Studios — a portrait studio for people who want their photographs to feel like them. Not like an ad. Not like a Pinterest board. Honest, beautiful, and a little bit unhurried. Every session is built around the person in front of the camera. I want you to look at your portraits years from now and still feel something.
